In 2009, Tyson Graham jumped into the seat of a thoroughbred chariot and ran his first timed race. When the race was done, he told his wife Becky , “I've got to get into this.” That winter, he put together a wagon and a team, and went to school.  Tyson had already picked up quite a bit of racing knowledge from working in Nathan Sales' camp for a couple of years, and with Becky being a Bremner, a wealth of information can be accumulated from that family alone. So he was prepared when he came out for his rookie season in 2010.  He didn't look like a rookie, though. He was a newly sanctioned chuckwagon driver that looked like a pro on the track. and easily took home the well-deserved WCA Rookie of the Year award. 2011 proved just as rewarding for Tyson, and as good as he was, he still won the Most Improved Driver award and finished a very respectable 5th overall.  Unfortunately in 2012, Tyson was unable to compete full time on the circuit, but managed to compete in several shows, where he consistently placed in the top 3rd.   Tyson was back on the track and a force to be reckoned with in 2013. He won the Rio Grande Rodeo, the Manning Battle River Rodeo and was runner Up Champion at the Grimshaw North Peace Stampede. Despite a season off, he climbed the charts and finished in 3rd place overall.

Tyson’s clean, strong racing style has drawn a large fan base that you see from show to show cheering him in the stands.  We expect to see Tyson driving a GMC Prize Pickup soon as he is clearly a winner in the makings. He is determined, focused and knows how to race. 2014 may be his year!

Tyson’s involvement in the club extends to showcasing his sponsor’s wagon at many of our promotional events. He takes considerable pride in his wagon and it is evident by its immaculate condition.

He works in the oil patch industry and lives in Grovedale with Becky and their 2 children.
