Chanse (26 yrs) is a 3rd generation chuckwagon driver. His father Mike is the well known “little grizzly” on the WPCA circuit and his grandfather the legendary Ralph Vigen, 5 time World Champion and 3 time Calgary Stampede Champion.  Chanse is well known on the WPCA circuit as a 4 time World Champion outrider, tying his father for the record.  2008 marked Chanse’s debut in driving chuckwagons on the Tour.  His mother Olana has played a large role in teaching him the horse skills that he takes for granted every day.  To call him a rookie however would be somewhat of a misnomer given the fact he has been raised with the last name of "Vigen".  Chanse is a farrier and enjoys hockey, golf and basketball in the off season.  Chanse drove at the 2008 Stompede where he was barely edged out in the Dash for Cash.  Not so in 2009, when he came down the home stretch with all the glory and all the money.  2010 saw him place in the Dash as well.  When he does retire from outriding, he already has the start to a successful career as a driver. We look forward to seeing Chanse racing in 2011.
